Hey I'm Tai. I kind of forget where to go with these introductions...
I've been playing ygo basically since the game was released, and I've been registered on Dueling Network since 2011, but I haven't always been active. I basically stopped playing totally in early 2014, because I was way too busy with school, plus I felt with the recent announcement of Pendulum monsters, the game was just getting silly, cluttered, and broken, and I was getting annoyed any deck I had made for fun would quickly become obsolete with the new banlist systems.
In 2012 I joined my first duel academy on forumotion, an Academy torn apart with the usual teenage angst and drama, but I had made some pretty good friends there who have more or less stopped playing since. In my time there I was immediately placed in the highest-tier dorm, was an admin for a while (until it all went to shit) and then co-head of GFX, but again, it's being quite some time since I was involved in any of that. I'm mainly just trying to show I'll be a good member to have around ^^;
And that's why I'm here.
Finishing my first year of college soon, and I will have a lot of spare time. While I'd normally be tempted to just play League of Legends I've really wanted to get back into yugioh. Every time I've tried though, I've felt overwhelmed with all the new cards and systems, meta and top-tier lists, what cards are even considered "splashable" anymore (most of the ones I knew for sure were are now always banned), etc. So I went looking for an academy where I could hopefully get some help in getting up to speed.
I understand that you usually try to get newcomers sorted through a testing rubric asap, but I know if I try that now I'll totally flunk it. If it's possible I'd like a bit of time to get back into the game before taking the test.
Thanks all ^^
p.s. is there a size limit on signatures?
p.p.s. I had this problem on a few older forums, so I'm coming out to say it now to avoid confusion: I am a girl. I know my DN username has "king" in it but king just sounded cooler.
