Assignment 3: The Combonations

This assignment will probably be easier than the last(depending on what deck you use). In this assignment, I will need you guys to build a fusion based deck. So you guys will be learning fusion summoning.

Now time for the basics. A standard fusion summon is conducted with a spell card know as polymerizarion(but over time multiple versions have been made for certain archetypes so the card is not mandatory to run. Also, many monster cards have gained the effect to perform a fusion summon with out a spell card) and two or more monster cards(the fusion materials). Now you cant just fusion summon any fusion monster from an extra deck with any monster. All fusion monsters have a fusion material list on them that indicates all the required monsters to fusion summon with(Ex: Blue-eyes Ultimate Dragon fusion material list states that it requires three copies of Blue-eyes White Dragon in order to fusion summon).Now, majority of the newer fusion monsters have gotten less specific with the cards needed to fusion summon them by just stating to use 2 or more cards from a specific archetypes or 2 or more monster types/attributes.

Now for the second type of fusion know as contact fusion. Contact fusion is where you perform a fusion summon with out an effect or spell/trap card. All you need to do is have the fusion materials face-up on the field, then you can send the to the required zone in accordance to the fusion monster's summon condition.(Ex: Ritual Beast Ulti-Cannahawk has the effect "you can special summon this card(from the extra deck) by banishing the required materials you control(you do not use polymerization)"). This type of summoning condition makes it easier to perform since it does not require polymerization, or any if its variants, to use as part of the fusion summon, but majority of the time they also cant be special summoned from any where else as a down side to them.


The Assignment
For your assignment I will need you guys to make a new 40 deck(with proof the it is not an old build) that is based around fusion summoning, with a 15 card side and 15 card extra deck(but the extra deck can only have a maximum of 5 non-fusion monster in it). For this assignment you will not be able to use pendulum monsters, since it is a mechanic that I do not wish to add to the assignment and is not a mechanic I will be teaching right now. I only want you guys to focus on the fusion summon mechanic, but I am being lenient by letting you guys have 5 non-fusion monsters in the extra deck. Now, after you have finished building your deck I will need you guys to go and win five matches(not singles) with your newly built deck. After you have finished all of this you will need to take a screenshot of the deck profile and a screenshot of all five wins you have acquired. Please note that the deck profile must have proof of it being newly made and you have to use that deck for all five rated duels you have won.


Grading
I will take points off if you have anymore than 5 non-fusion monsters in your extra deck. I will also take points of for not having a full side deck.

This assignment is due on 1/25/16, a Monday.

This is not true u can summon a contact fusion when the monster is face down they do not have to be face up. change the paragraph to the above removed face up on the field to just your side of the field
